    3. I'm on the Independence Day Parade Committee for my city and since the parade is on July 4th, we have very little time for other things right now. I'm second in command of staging and primary pacer. My job is to get the parade organized and once it starts out, my job it to keep it at an even pace and not allow it to bunch up or to get gaps... Not an easy job when the parade is over 1.5 miles long goes up and down hills and around corners... I usually have a crew of 6 to 8 or more helpers. :) Just another soggy Seattle Sysop. -----Original Message----- From: Marged [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Tuesday, April 16, 2002 11:24 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [GEN-FRIENDS] OK GUYS! OK guys, it's been TOO DARNED QUIET on this list today. Come on in and tell us what you are doing. I have been to get my eyes tested for sunglasses (hoping Cyprus doesn't suddenly get unseasonal weather) and also for blood tests to make sure my cholesterol tablets haven't killed my liver off. Now, I am sitting here waiting for a friend to arrive who was supposed to be here at 6.30 pm. So how about the rest of you? Marj Southport, England

    3. You need one of those big gongs that the masters used on the galley ships - then the parade can all walk in time Bubbles from Robin Hood Country ----- Original Message ----- From: "George Elting" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, April 16, 2002 10:56 PM Subject: RE: [GEN-FRIENDS] OK GUYS! > I'm on the Independence Day Parade Committee for my city and since the > parade is on July 4th, we have very little time for other things right now. > I'm second in command of staging and primary pacer. 3. I find walkie talkies easier to deal with and easier on my ears... That's what my crew and I use to keep things going. :) Just another soggy Seattle Sysop. -----Original Message----- From: Bubbles [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Wednesday, April 17, 2002 10:25 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [GEN-FRIENDS] OK GUYS!
