    3. Really, Marj, I'm surprised at you! Actually, I'm only joking. I would probably have done the same. My attitude would have been, "No bloody foreigner is going to tell me what to eat!" and I would have paid the price. My parents only ever went abroad once and that was to spend Christmas with me in Germany in 1965 or 66. Dad went everywhere shouting bl***y foreigners. He nearly got us hanged. We weren't all that far from the Belsen Cemetery but I didn't dare take him there, there would have been an international incident. Funny thing was, once he was home he went round telling everyone about his new German friends and saying Gütten Tag and aufwiedersehn to everyone.
