    3. Nope, both are the commonest 0 type there is, hubby and I. The doctor says that Tammy's AB is often inherited from a grandparent--and her's was. My father in law was AB, Bill's mother was 0. My son's are all 0 as well. My mother's sister had a problem with the 0 type when she started having babies, lost all but 1 because of the 0+ & 0- factor. The last one had a complete blood transfusion at birth and managed to survive. The wonders of modern medicine. Tammy donates her own blood before any major surgery or hospital stay--in our area there is only 5 registered AB's around. Don't ask me--I just work here ;0)) ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jean White" <jphwhite@ns.sympatico.ca> To: "Vicky Ballantine" <cobolt47@frontiernet.net> Sent: Monday, January 28, 2002 12:59 PM Subject: Re: [GEN-FRIENDS] Re: fat!! That seems strange, Vicki. Surely your ex is AB as both A and B genes are dominant to O. AB is the rarest type though.
