I guess it is just one of those things ,some people can eat what they like and stay slim ,others eat very little and pile on the weight . Her only weakness for years has been a pint of full cream milk a day otherwise she eats lots of veg both raw & cooked, a little chicken or fish, cheese & occasionally red meat. How they get her cholesterol level high is beyond me. Now she's drinking skimmed milk & reduced fat cheese & hates it. > Sue S
According to my doctor, high cholesterol levels are largely the result of inheritance. We have eaten a low fat diet for years but my husband has high cholesterol and I don't. There is a history of early stroke and heart disease in Wes' family but in my family strokes do not show up until people are in their 80's.
