I'll bet Bill Gates uses Linux or Lindows or ANYTHING except MS Windows. I bet he uses MS Windows... Last I saw, he was using Win2k on most of his home machines. Probably has WinXP on them now... Remember, he has all the tech support he'll ever need... He knows the programmers! :) BTW, there are very stable versions of Windows. But the Win9x/SE/ME batch aren't them... Just another soggy Seattle Sysop. -----Original Message----- From: Brian [mailto:brian@lordbramhall.co.uk] Sent: Tuesday, January 22, 2002 4:44 AM To: GEN-FRIENDS-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [GEN-FRIENDS] Screen Switchers Etc. Requires a 4 x Pentium 4GHz machine with 4TB of RAM 20TB of disk space and liquid nitrogen cooling. Apparently they're going to try opening Bill's inbox on it next week, once they've figured out how to run OE99 without the virus checker taking 2 weeks to initialise. It's thought that by modifying the daily appointments system they can tell the system the required 7 days in advance <which> programs they would like to run the following week. But apparently even Bill needs the 23 digit id number to make it all work. :-) Dave --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com).
