    3. Hi Jim! With reference to you saying...(Angela) .."She also starts with a handicap coming from this cold island of dark satanic mills"..... Perhaps Jim...BUT, at least one can 'think and function' with such weather..and can always get warm when outside ..what with the new types of material for winter wear!...and 'look forward' to a lovely 'cuppa' to 'thaw out' with...!! BUT...with heat and especially humidity!!...why you can take every stitch of clothing off and still be utterly devastated beyond being able to concentrate on anything!!!...And...as for Fans... yes, they 'move the air' ..but, when it is HUMID one still gets very little relief..for they are just 'blowing HOT air around you...rather like standing in front of a blast furnace'..!!! My heart goes out to Angela! Frances __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? 1. [GEN-FRIENDS] car/train/teenager accident
    2. Sue M
    3. As a matter of a fact Mike, that's what the fire chief suggested on the news this evening. This particular crossing, where the accident occurred, has been the site of many fatalities. A good friend of mine was killed on the same spot in '93, but she wasn't playing chicken with the train. Her car stalled and instead of jumping out of it (it was a brand new car) she kept trying to get it started again. She died about two hours after being hit. Sue* ----- Original Message ----- Do you think they were trying to beat the bell? There have been too many of theses type of accidents at unattended automatic crossings. <Mike --- Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). 3. Martha, You're kidding, the child was missing for 15 months and no one knew? I assume the parents had something to do with her disappearance. So sad that there weren't other people in this child's life to know that she wasn't there. We had a horrible thing happen here this afternoon. There are R/R tracks about 3 blocks from my house and at 4:15 four high school seniors were crossing the tracks in a car. It was hit by a train, two of the kids died immediately, the other two were life flighted to Pittsburgh and aren't supposed to survive. All four of them would have been at their graduation ceremony at 6:00 this evening. Identies haven't been made public yet but as we live in a very small community, we're all holding our breath. This makes me want to tie my kids to the house and never let them out into the world, nylon rope should do nicely but I still plan to duct tape their mouths. 3. Like Marj's daughter I spent 3 months on a camp in North Carolina - wealthy Jewish camp. Some of the kids were there the whole time their parents off to the Far East and other places - on Parents Day there were Rolls Royce's etc I felt sorry for some of the kids they really needed love not Summer Camp. When the odd one 'escaped' they would phone home and bawl! 3. Wonderful to have music in the family, Jim. In February we went to see South Pacific at the National Theatre - there is nuthin like a dame! Very enjoyable but I was constantly reminded of the Rossano Brazzi etc - it's always the same when one has been brought up with a version - I was just too young to appreciate Mary Martin. I was more impressed by Carmen at The Albert Hall a couple of nights later.
