    3. Have to agree there, Brian. Mountain rescue people do it all for love of it, no money involved. I am always appalled at the accidents that happen in terrible weather conditions, and which could have been avoided. That was a bad one here the other day (inquest reports) where a father had taken his lad fishing in the dead of winter, and they were cut off by the tide in Morecambe Bay. Rang his wife on the mobile, and spoke to the rescue people (risking their lives in freezing fog) but both died because they couldn't find them. 3. It just came on the news here in UK that a rescue helicopter crashed in snowy mountains trying to rescue climbers somewhere in the US. Oregan I think. The rescue was being filmed and they showed the helicopter breaking up as it rolled down the mountainside. These damn climbers, walkers and mountaineers are a pain throughout the world. 3. We went to see it on the Empire Theatre Liverpool in January, and took Lucy. She loves the old black and white video with Hayley Mills. The new show bears no resemblance to the original, and I don't know why they called it "Whistle Down the Wind" as the wonderful religious references hardly figured in the new production. It has two good songs in it, the title song and another one that was recorded by Wet, Wet, Wet I think. Can't remember it now, but knew it when I heard it. As a theatre show, the Lloyd Weber one was well done and enjoyable, but just not as good as the old one. IMHO, that is.
