    3. Angela my dear! You have 'confirmed' my 'womanly in-born instinct' today!...when you said that you had 'forgot to mention' that 'guess who' enjoys the pleasure of working 'long hours' ..and 'spends most of his time at his work place' in the absolute COMFORT of an "Air Conditioned" office!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yet...continues to try and convince you that air conditioning is BAD for YOUR health!!..the Nth. degree of 'Contradicting himself'!!!when it would appear that 'his health is not affected one iota by spending so many hours in HIS air conditioned 'workplace'..!!!!!!!!!!...BUT...yes his 'health, demeanour, and moods' are affected when he is 'at home in the unbearable HEAT'....as you said..."He is WORSE than me without air conditioning'......and to 'hide behind the paltry excuse of "it is for the comfort of his customers" is an insult to your 'womanly intelligence'..!!!! My thoughts and best wishes ALWAYS Angela!...May you continue to share with us your wonderful "up-beat" personality and view-points on the many varied subjects that are 'proposed for discussion' on this super List!! Three cheers again Angela...to 'a wonderful Mom' ...in my books gal!! Frances..x __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? 3. Well the original was a dramatic movie so one really can't compare them the background music was a hit though and is still played. I believe it was shot in Wensley - Always remember the 'Sally Army' playing in the square and of course Hayley Mills and Alan Bates, with great character actors. Black and white was just right for those rainy Dales. They don't make 'em like that now. mike ----- Original Message ----- From: Marged To: GEN-FRIENDS-L@rootsweb.com Sent: Friday, May 31, 2002 10:08 AM Subject: Re: [GEN-FRIENDS] Music We went to see it on the Empire Theatre Liverpool in January, and took Lucy. She loves the old black and white video with Hayley Mills. The new show bears no resemblance to the original, and I don't know why they called it "Whistle Down the Wind" as the wonderful religious references hardly figured in the new production. It has two good songs in it, the title song and another one that was recorded by Wet, Wet, Wet I think. Can't remember it now, but knew it when I heard it. As a theatre show, the Lloyd Weber one was well done and enjoyable, but just not as good as the old one. IMHO, that is.
