    3. A Marine Private who was being interviewed by the media was asked if he would forgive Bin Laden. He replied, "It's God's responsibility to forgive Bin Laden. It's the responsibility of the United States Marine Corps to arrange the meeting." ============================== Brick Counters While a friend and I were visiting Annapolis, we noticed several students on their hands and knees assessing the courtyard with pencils and clipboards in hand. "What are they doing?" I asked our tour guide. "Each year," he replied with a grin, "The upperclassmen ask the freshmen how many bricks it took to finish paving this courtyard." When we were out of earshot of the freshmen, my friend asked our guide: "So what's the answer?" The guide replied: "One." --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. 3. Hope Street is the street in Liverpool which has a cathedral at each end - one is the majestic Anglican Cathedral, Christ's Cathedral. The other is the Roman Catholic Cathedral of Christ the King, locally known as Paddy's Wigwam because of the architectural design. In Liverpool we think the street is very appropriately named. A friend sent this today, and I thought it was lovely. A man walking along Hope St. saw a man working on a piece of sandstone. He stopped and asked the man what he was doing. The man replied ' Breaking this damn stone'. Further along he met another man doing the same thing, and asked him the same question. The man straightened up and said, ' I'm building a mighty cathedral'. --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). 3. My father in law told a tale about how he took a radio into a shop for repair. The repair man replaced some small part and charged father half a crown. Father pointed out that the small part would only have cost sixpence. The man replied "yes, sixpence for the part, half a crown for knowing what to do with it"! One thing Don really didn't like as a joiner was being called out to finish off work someone else had started! Marj The first two firms I called wanted a call-out fee but I told them where to go for their call-out fee. I explained I had done most of the work and all they had to do was screw the box to the wall and connect the wires so a fee of £30 was agreed. That was before I knew about the staple in the wire.
