Switch box should do it, but some systems need to know that the monitor is there and working... You might have to power up one machine, then switch to the other and then power that one up. I agree Brian and so did my gran. She was so upset at not being allowed to have butter. She had eaten butter all her life and considered margarine to be disgusting but the policy at the home was to use Flora or some such thing. The other thing she has never worn slippers. Always wore the old fashioned thick heeled shoes with a 1.5 or 2inch heel but they made her wear flat shoes in case she fell over and bought her (with her money) some little lace up flat shoes. They also stopped her wearing her corsets.....you remember the old whalebone sort of things....and having worn them for most of her life - she was 98 when she died - she suddenly hunched up more than she was before. None of those things helped the last years of her life and certainly made them more miserable. We did try to sort them out for her but they had answers for us. Very much a cop out. I worked in a nursing home for 10 years and saw what damage they could do to a person. A lot of the changes in a senior's life was caused by the "aides" themselves who didn't want to put the effort into caring for the elderly and their ways. Like the whalebone corset. It meant more work for the aides to get it on and off a lady, the shoes too would be a problem as the aide would have to walk beside the resident and keep a sharper eye on them. Some of those brought into the homes were abandoned by their families, some weren't. I had my favorites, we all did. Our oldest died two weeks ago at 108. The second oldest just turned 108 last week. Sometimes its good, sometimes it isn't. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Brian" <brian@lordbramhall.co.uk> Subject: Re: [GEN-FRIENDS] hunting Good morning, Isn't this a cop out.
