    3. I know what black pudding does. It causes fires if you are foolish enough to barbecue it as a friend did once. The local black pudding is not that good though. Here in Nova Scotia we also have Lunenberg sausage which is made out of fish. I have only tried it once. 3. Tatties we had, not sure what neeps are. We also had a salmon cooked whole with a lovely sauce, lots of red wine followed by honey cake for the birthday boy. The birthday boy is my husband's first summer student . He turned 50. The birthday cake was a little disappointing. On Steve's 40th birthday the 10 or so sparklers intended for the cake caught fire a little early. The person holding them dropped them on the newly finished floor forcing everyone to jump out of the way to avoid burns. The mark is still there. This time the sparklers went on the cake first and sparkled away safely. 1. [GEN-FRIENDS] Screen Switchers Etc.
    2. Dave Allen
    3. While Brian's waiting ........ You can connect 1 PC to a switcher which will allow you to use more than one monitor / keyboard combination . There is also a version to connect several PCs to one monitor / keyboard. I can't think that they're any use for the average home. On the subject of sharing 1 PC - not really , unless of course you use Linux and text mode programs. Then you could have 3 users without much difficulty ( 1 on each serial port using terminals like Wyse etc , and one on the normal PC screen ). Regards Dave --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. 3. Hi Marj et all, > I had some problems with my mobile phone recently because I never did let > the battery run down, always put it on charge so it was fully charged up. NICADs develop a memory - charge them when they're not fully flat and you reduce their capacity. So charge at half charged then will only ever give half capacity. They can be reconditioned if you have lots of patience and the right equipment. NIMH - don't have this memory effect - you can top them up as required. L Ion - Lithium Ion batteries - No memory effect. These can be recharged without blowing another hole in your best string vest. Have higher capacity than similar sized Nicad , lighter weight. More expensive too. Regards Dave :-) --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). 3. I had some problems with my mobile phone recently because I never did let the battery run down, always put it on charge so it was fully charged up. Had the phone for about 18 months before it finally conked out. The guy who sold me the new battery told me you should never recharge unless they have run down. I suppose it says that in the instructions (which I have probably only read far enough to make the phone work). Marj > from "memory".
