Roz, I agree, I do and I eat home cooked food and abhor the rubbish in the supermarket freezer chests. BUT I also love freshly baked bread from the local baker ( I really miss my mother-in-law for her bread) and I was told nay advised that butter was doing my blood sugar count no good so I changed to non animal fat spread and found that Benecol was tasty, also the new Flora + . my sugar count tonight is 6.3 compared with usually 11 or 12 before. Sometimes the instrument nearly had a coronary itself with 17 or 18. Big BAD John? ---------------------------------------------------------------------~-> A bar owner in the Old West has just hired a timid new bartender. The owner of the establishment is giving his new hire some instructions on running the place. He tells the timid man, "If you ever hear that Big John is coming to town, drop everything and run for the hills!! He's the meanest, biggest, nastiest outlaw who ever lived!!" A few weeks pass uneventfully. But one afternoon, a local cowhand comes running through town yelling, "Big John is coming to town!! Run for your lives!!!" When the bartender exits the saloon to start running, he's knocked to the ground by several townspeople scurrying out of town. As he's picking himself up, he sees a large man approaching the saloon, probably about 7 feet tall, muscular, grunting and growling as he walks. He stomps up to the door, orders the poor barkeep inside, and demands, "I want a beer NOW!!" He pounds his heavy fist on the bar, splitting it in half. The bartender nervously hands the big man a beer, hands shaking. He takes the beer, rips the top of the bottle off with his teeth, and downs the beer in one gulp. As the poor timid bartender cowers behind the bar, the big man gets up to leave. "Do you want another beer?" the bartender calls out. "Dang it, I don't have time!!" the big man yells. "I gotta get out of town!!! Didn't ya hear Big John is a-comin??" --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). Now now folks, lets keep it clean!!! --------------------------------------------------------> An elderly married couple scheduled their annual medical examination on the same day so they could travel together. After the examination, the doctor then said to the elderly man: "You appear to be in good health. Do you have any medical concerns that you would like to ask me?" "In fact, I do," said the old man. "After I have sex with my wife the first time, I am usually hot and sweaty, and then, after I have sex with my wife the second time, I'm usually cold and chilly." The old man stood there and looked extremely concerned. The doctor just shook his head. After examining the elderly lady, the doctor said: "Everything appears to be fine with you. Do you have any medical concerns that you would like to discuss with me?" The lady replied that she had no questions or concerns. The doctor then asked: "Your husband had an unusual concern. He claims that he is usually hot and sweaty after having sex the first time with you and then cold and chilly after the second time. Do you know why?" "Oh that crazy old fool!" she replied. "That's because the first time is usually in July and the second time is usually in December!" --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com).
