You don't seem to have cottoned on to the fact that Ulster is British, and that's what all the trouble is about because a section of the Community thinks it is Irish, because Ireland is an ISLAND. I don't know if the BNP are flying this flag for that reason, but the Red Hand of Ulster is the symbol of Irish Protestantism. "Ulster - a former Kingdom in Northern Ireland annexed by England in 1461 From Jacobean times, a centre of English, and later Scottish, settlement on land confiscated from its owners. Divided 1921 into Northern Ireland (Counties Atrim, Armagh, Down, Fermanagh, and Londonderry (now Derry) and Tyrone) and the Republic of Ireland (Counties Cavan, Donegal and Monaghan)." from Hutchinson's Encyclopaedia 2001 > I looked at the BNP web site yesterday and all I saw was the flag with the > red hand. Seriously Jim, it was a bit of a tongue in cheek comment but I have been in a position to watch a couple of families tear themselves apart. I shant leave much anyway but that is because I don't earn much but they have at various times said what items that they would like because of the sentimental value and I think I would prefer to do what my Aunt is doing, give it away before I die. Roz Spending it all is a good idea if you think it would create problems, but we brought our kids up to be self reliant as you would no doubt expect from my expressed opinions. They are both self made, very unselfish and in nearly fifty years have shown only love and consideration for each other as they do to us. Perhaps we are extremely fortunate but I like to think we have had something to do with it.
