The Kern County Personal Ancestral File Users Group will hold their 7th Annual Genealogical Seminar, "Something for Everyone", on Saturday, September 14, 2002 in Bakersfield, California USA. The location will be the Kern Canyon Estates Clubhouse at 8536 Kern Canyon Road, Bakersfield, CA 93306. Speakers and topics will be: Chuck Knuthson -- America: A Nation of Immigrants; and Genealogy on the Internet Peter Carr -- Public Records: Voter Registrations, Deeds and Probates; and Newspapers: Goldmines of Information Constance Whitworth -- Down Memory Lane: Writing Your Personal Memoirs Guy Lingo -- Close-up Photography for Heritage Photos A continental breakfast will be available from 8:00 until 8:45 a.m. and the program will start at 9:00 a.m. sharp. Registration includes a hot plate lunch catered by Curtis Catering. There will be books and Heritage Albums on display and free door prizes. The seminar is scheduled to conclude at 4:00 p.m., with browsing and shopping until 5:00 p.m. Registration is $30 for members with a registration deadline of September 1st. Non-members are $40.
