The Illinois State Genealogical Society is having it's Fall Conference, Saturday, Oct. 19, 2002 in Springfield, Illinois, in the Howlett Building, 2nd and Edwards St. "Illinois Libraries and Genealogical Societies: Their Research Collections" offers 7 sessions highlighting libraries and Illinois local genealogical societies and their resources for genealogical research at their locations. Presentations include the Arlington Heights Memorial Library, the Illinois State Historical Library, the C. E. Brehm Library in Mt. Vernon Illinois, the Decatur Genealogical Society, and the Lee County Genealogical Society. There will also be sessions on planning your research trip, and publishing your family history. Representatives from many local Illinois genealogical societies will be available to talk with you, highlighting their resources and offering suggestions for help for research. Cost is $35 for ISGS members, $42 for non members. Local Illinois Society Representatives $35. This includes a box lunch.
