Five more people are needed to make the genealogy class at Angelina College beginning on Thursday night September 26, 2002. Angelina College is in Lufkin, Texas, about 100 miles north of Houston. For those of you who don't know, that is the East Texas Region in the Central Time Zone in the USA where we have lots and lots of pine trees! This genealogy class will meet for six weeks, every Thursday night from 6-9 p.m. Cost is $50.00. Register at Angelina College Division of Community Service Office on the main campus in Lufkin. For more information call the Community Services office at 1-936-633-5206 e-mail [email protected] Another class using global positioning technology is also being offered on the main campus this semester and would possibly be available for off main campus presention if enough people are interested. Just in case anyone is interested, there are two speakers available for all day seminars on genealogy and history related topics through the college or at other locations. Some topics are available for general knowledge and technology and some topics are more specific to East Texas. Topics and class sessions can be developed for specific requests if there is enough interest to make a class or pay for an all day seminar.
