Regular Meeting of East Texas Genealogical Society, Tyler, TX Saturday, August 9, 2003 Tyler Public Library - Taylor Auditorium 2:00 p.m. Speaker: Elizabeth Nitschke Hicks Program: "Law Library Research" Many researchers would like to search for information about their ancestors at law libraries but need to know more about the various legal documents before they begin. Guest speakers, Elizabeth Nitschke Hicks, will discuss various records such as the First Decennial Digest and State Reports. If a complete table of American Cases from 1658 to 1906 interests you, you'll want to attend this meeting. Ms. Hicks is a descendant of pioneer Germans of Austin and Travis counties. She is the originator and manager of the "Angels" program for the Clayton Library Friends, and is currently serving as a Director. She is a professional genealogists and the genealogy editor for the German-Texan Heritage Society. She was a past contributing editor for "Tree Talk", the publication of the Cherokee County Genealogical Society. Following the program there will be refreshments. The Computer Interest Group of the East Texas Genealogical Society will not meet this month.
