There are both transcriptions and scanned images of entire books. Many of these cannot be searched by regular search engines like Google.com. Beyond straight genealogical information, you can find information about life in the time of your ancestors and occasionally a photo showing Grandmother or other women of her time and place. We'll search out the locations of these libraries such as Making of America, Historic Pittsburgh, USGenWeb county sites and commercial CDs plus demonstrate how to search in and use different formats and see some of the goodies they contain.
