The Louisiana Genealogical & Historical Society special two-day seminar celebrating the Bicentennial of the Louisiana Purchase and the 50th Anniversary of the Society will be held on 25-26 April 2003 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Friday 25 April will include lectures on Louisiana's precolonial and colonial history by scholars, historians and genealogists and a celebration banquet. Saturdays lectures on genealogical methodology and evidence, using Louisiana examples will be presented by Elizabeth Shown Mills, CG, CGL, GASG, FNGS, FUGA.
