Evidence Analysis for Genealogists with presenter Laura Murphy DeGrazia, a board-certified professional genealogist who specializes in New York City area research and the Irish in New York. She is published in the New England Historical and Genealogical Register, the New York Genealogical and Biographical Society Record, and the Association of Professional Genealogists Quarterly. This presentation will illustrate how genealogists can pull clues from the records, evaluate those clues as reliable pieces of evidence, and combine evidence from various sources to turn those clues into proof. An Orientation session for beginners and newcomers will be held at 7 PM and the regular meeting will start at 7:30. GGG members and guests will have access to the building beginning at 6:30 PM.
