The quarterly meeting of the Pomeranian Special Interest Group continues to join the IGS (Immigrant Genealogical Society)in their library at 2pm. Carolyn Casperson had a unique experience for her first visit to the Library in Salt Lake City as she was able to attend a seminar of the United Polish Genealogical Societies. Not only were there Skype Conferences with Poland but presentations by Kahlile Mehr, Daniel Schlyter, Orvill Paller, and others. She'll share strategies for locating ancestral villages and the resources the researcher used. The week's experience was much more than viewing microfilmed records 12 hours a day, The IGS library will be open from noon to 5pm so we hope you will join us for the program and discussion/study afterwards. The IGS Library is located at 1310 West Magnolia in Burbank CA. Don't forget to check out our website: www.pomeranianews.com and we hope you are one of the subscribers to our printed quarterly, Die Pommerschen Leute.
