The German Genealogy Group will hold its next monthly meeting on Thursday, March 6th at: Hicksville VFW HallPost 3211 320 South Broadway (Route 107) Hicksville, New York 11801 The meeting this month will feature Heidelberg und Schwarzwald, a Rheinland Video DVD presentation. Heidelberg, one of Germanys most beautiful cities, is located in enchanted surroundings, right where the Neckar Valley opens to the Rhenish plains. The combination of castle ruins, medieval city, and the Neckar river has lost nothing of its attraction for visitors from all over the world. After Heidelberg, we visit Baden-Baden and travel on the Schwarzwald-Hochstraße to Freudenstadt and much, much more. This unique film tour ends in Meersburg on Lake Constance and leaves the viewer with many unforgettable memories. An Orientation session for beginners and newcomers will be held at 7 PM and the regular meeting will start at 7:30. GGG members and guests will have access to the building beginning at 6:30 PM.
