The Computer Genealogy Society of San Diego meets Saturday, July 19, 2008 from 9:00 am to noon. CGSSD will celebrate its 20th Anniversary. Dr. Joel Weintraub will present "Searching the U.S. Census by Geographic Means When Name Indexes Fail." He will discuss some basics of the federal census, including the upcoming 1940 census; why some people can't be found; demonstrate the Geographic search techniques; and discuss the Steve Morse 1-Step website. The SIGs will not meet this month. A light brunch and cake cutting will follow Dr. Weintraub's presentation.
