National Archives staff (Kenneth Heger, Constance Potter, and John Deeben) will share their insights on United States census records, some of our most valuable genealogical sources. The workshop will both highlight the fundamentals and offer in-depth insights. Presentations will address both widely used and less well-known census schedules, including: general population schedules, 1890 veterans schedule, 1850 & 1860 slave schedules, 1880 dependent/delinquent/deficient, mortality schedules, agriculture schedules, manufacturing schedules, and social statistics schedules.
