She holds an A.B. in History and a M.A. in Anthropology. She has served as Park Ranger with collateral duties as Volunteer Coordinator, Curator/Collection Manager. Most recently a three year service as Regional Historic Preservation Planner, Coastal Georgia Regional Development Center.Mrs. Barefoot has authored four books: (1998) Falling for Coastal Magic, Stories of S.E.
