Joseph Lieby, ED D is a professional genealogist who has spoken at several local and regional societies on topics including Getting the Most from Newspapers and Westward Migration in NY. Lieby was born in Brooklyn and received a doctorate in education from Teacher’s College, Columbia University as well as a Master’s Degree from Fordham University. Retired as a school district administrator, Lieby has engaged in genealogical research since 1990. This talk will present the steps that our ancestors took to become US citizens.
