Dear Friends, Our April 12th meeting, Unlocking County Genealogical Records, at the historic Brennan Courthouse in Jersey City, will be a very important meeting. Hudson County Clerk Barbara Netchert and Sidney King, of Archives and Record Management, will discuss the current condition of County Records. Surrogate Donald DeLeo will speak on the genealogical value of probate records. At every level of research, these records are "vitally" important. Please make every effort to attend and to show the County representatives just how significant these issues are to us, both as a Genealogical Society and individual researchers. We have been told that parking will be available in front of the courthouse. Also, as with any city location, car-pooling might be a good idea. So please, please, let's have a good attendance for this meeting. Bring friends, family, all who might be interested. As always, more information is available on our website, www.hudsoncountynjgenealogy.org. And coffee will be served! See you there! Ellen Healy Secretary Hudson County Genealogical Society
