The quarterly meeting of the Pommern Special Interest Group will travel vicariously to Pomerania when we hear about the trip Beth and Mark Marshall took last May. The Freistadt group in Wisconsin organized the tour so they met the rest of the group in Hamburg, traveling east visiting areas such as Kolberg, Danzig, the Malbork Castle, Stettin, Berlin, and Potsdam. This unique tour allowed members freedom to explore and visit ancestral areas on their own or to travel with the group on the bus. Then they remained in Germany another week to meet more relatives and continue their research. Come see the regional newspaper report of their travels and enjoy their "Pomeranian Adventure Tour." As usual, we meet at the IGS (Immigrant Genealogical Society) Library at 1310 West Magnolia in Burbank for the 2:00 pm program. The library will be open from noon to 5 pm so we hope you will join us for the program and discussion/study afterwards. Don't forget to check out our website: www.pomeranianews.com and we hope you are one of the subscribers to our printed quarterly, Die Pommerscen Leute.
