We will explore Google Books, Picasa, Google Docs, Google Maps and other Google resources that will help you with your genealogy. Speaker: Gena Philibert Ortega is a professional genealogist, helping others research their family history and learn more about their ancestor's lives. She holds a Master's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies (Psychology and Women's Studies) and a Master's degree in Religion. Gena teaches classes and workshops in genealogical research techniques. As a writer, Gena writes articles for the online newsletter, Genweekly, published by Genealogy Today. She is also the author of the book, Cemeteries of the Eastern Sierra, published by Arcadia Publishing (2007). Afterwards, from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m., Nancy Ellen Carlberg will lead the Colonial America study group on the topic, "Cleaning Up the Mess: Finding What is Right on Your Colonial Ancestors."
