Your check earlier than June 1st will only be returned to you. Staff is not allowed to hold over checks. Anything that anyone can do to spread the word about this upcoming conference would be greatly appreciated. All Texas colleges have tightened their budgets. If enrollment is not at least at past year's levels, the conference is in grave danger of not being approved for 2004. This conference is a real asset to the genealogy community because it is the only one like it at a public supported college west of the Mississippi that we know about. We are fortunate that the college administration agreed to sponsor it for another year. IF for some reason you are not able to attend the conference this summer, but think it is still a great idea, you might care to e-mail a message of support to Dr. Frederick W. Kanke, Vice-president of Community Services at Angelina College, [email protected]
Get FGS Sponsored Genealogy Training and Raise Money for your Society through eGenConference Participation. Dear Family History Enthusiast; As you may know the Federation of Genealogical Societies is a key sponsor for the upcoming eGenConference, www.egenconference.com from June10, to July 10, 2003. We have a tremendous program designed for beginners to advanced genealogists. Click here to see the program and read the speakers bios. http://www.familyhistoryradio.com/fhr_sp/program.php As a benefit of this sponsorship Family History Radio will provide participating societies and the FGS headquarters a financial contribution as a result of their members purchasing a $69.95 registration for the event. This is done by your society signing up to be an affiliate of Family History Radio. This is at NO cost to the society and includes a free booth at the eGenConference. To see a sample booth click here. http://www.familyhistoryradio.com/fhr_sp/socbooth.php For each person that registers for the eGenCoference through your society's affiliate link, Family History Radio will send a $15.00 donation to your society and a $5.00 donation to the FGS. It's a great way to promote genealogy training and fund society activities. Here are the details: 1. Each society needs to individually register with Family History Radio as an affiliate. This is simple and easy to do. Click this link https://www.familyhistoryradio.com/fhr_sp/affiliate.php and complete the information required. If you have not registered with Family History Radio you will need to do so before becoming an affiliate Each society will be assigned an affiliate number that will indicate to Family History Radio each registration and purchase from your link. You will receive credit every time someone purchases products from your link. 2 We will immediately receive and approve your affiliate agreement and send you the required information, links and or images to post on your website or send out to recipients of your newsletters. Based on your information we will build your organization a virtual booth that will contain basic information about your society. This booth will be at the key location people will come to register for the conference and to learn about your organization before and during the eGenConference. You can even include the link we send you on an email which is helpful if your society has an electronic membership newsletter, so that people can click the link and you automatically receive credit if they purchase a full registration or exhibit space. Make sure that you give us a brief description of your organization because this will be used for your society booth. 3 When someone clicks on your eGenConference Link and purchases a full $69.95 registration, you will receive a $15.00 donation to your society and a five dollar donation will go to the Federation of Genealogical Societies main office! Simple math will show that it doesn't take too many purchases to generate a sizable donation by referring others to the conference. 4 At the end of the conference your will receive a donation representing how many people have purchased registrations and products through your link. Again, with this program, everyone wins. Your society will have an exhibit at the eGenConference, those who register will receive valuable genealogy training and information, and your society will receive a donation to further your own genealogy endeavors. Sign up today for this time-saving method to help your society fund raising. The Federation of Genealogical Societies is dedicated to assisting societies in the preservation and access of records, and Family History Radio is happy to contribute this donation to your cause. If you need any additional help and support, please feel to contact me any time at [email protected] By the way , anyone registering with Family History Radio can enter the exhibit only hall for free!
