A small glitch, yet so irritating - I had given up and was on the point of calling in professional assistance. Thank you so much. The website you suggested has been stored for reference. n.east, your instructions were excellent and I had no problem following them (very carefully), but it didn't work for me. Thank you for your time and effort. Is it now OK to delete the back-up Registry you suggested I make? Jan, thank you for your input and suggestion, but the normal left-click kept asking me which programme I wanted to use. The only way I could open folders was with a right-click and a scroll down to 'open.' All efforts on my behalf much appreciated. Jill, you have put a smile on my face. Bless you. Rita
