    3. What most likely has happened is that you (or another user) has turned on the option to "Do not move files to the Recycle Bin". That would account for it showing up "empty" when you click on it to open it. To remedy this, right-click the Recycle Bin icon, then select Properties. Check the options there and select the ones you want and deselect the ones you don't. For example, if you rarely empty the Recycle Bin because you want to avoid discarding files you might someday want to recover, you can increase the maximum storage size of the Recycle Bin. You can also turn off the delete confirmation dialog box that appears every time you send files to the Recycle Bin. And of course, the one you need to change, which is choose not to move files to the Recycle Bin and instead immediately remove them from your computer when you delete them (as is happening now). Hopefully it is simple as that for you :-). > -----Original Message----- > From: jjc@gvtc.com > Sent: Sat, 2 Aug 2008 16:33:27 -0500 > To: gen-comp-tips@rootsweb.com > Subject: Re: [GEN-COMP-TIPS] Trash Basket > > Thank you for this information! 3. Thank you! I checked the properties, and "Do not send to recycle bin, it will be automatically deleted", which is fine.
