    3. Sue, There isn't any reason the an avi file will not play in Windows Media Player or RealPlayer. The age of the clip makes no difference as to why it will not play. Right click on the movie clip (in Explorer) and select "open with". Open the file with either Media Player or RealPlayer. The only reason that you would want to convert the avi to mpeg is if you were burning the file onto a CD to view in a DVD player.
