Hi Hope someone can help me with this one...I have been doing some genealogical research in France and have acquired a number of CDs with marriages, births, deaths, etc. These are scanned copies of actual documents. The CDs come from various areas and each series of CD comes with its own viewer and setup files. In my previous installation of Windows 98 SE I was able to set the Regional Settings such that I was able to work with these CDs. Since reformatting my hard disk and reinstalling Windows 98SE I have not been able to use my French CDs. I have reset the Regional Settings to French (Canadian) (just as before) but my CDs won't work. I suspect that some intrinsic part is not making French the default language. When I go to Microsoft.com, for instance, my previous installation was detected by Microsoft and I would get the French screen. Not so this time which is why I suspect that the changes aren't happening as they should. The one other change that has happened to my system is the installation of Flash because of the cable setup (I was previously on a dialup modem). Could this be the culprit? Thanks Lucy
