Hi Listers, I run Windows XP on a Pentuim 3 and am considering upgrading - CPU, Motherboard and memory. Do I need to buy a new Windows XP CD or will I be able to upgrade on my current one? I read somewhere that there are only so many changes that Windows XP will accept but cant recall the details. If I upgraded those 3 components now, and added a new hard drive a little later, will that still be accepted by XP? Regards JUDITH NEVILLE AUSTRALIA Researching........... Judith, You should be fine. I've upgraded my CPU, Motherboard and RAM without any problems from Windows XP. The hardware changes that XP is concerned about are things like the sound card, modem, graphics card, etc. As for the hard drive, you shouldn't have any problems there either. Are you planning to make it the Master or Slave? Art At 02:47 AM 6/21/2004, you wrote: >Hi Listers, > >I run Windows XP on a Pentuim 3 and am considering >upgrading - CPU, Motherboard and memory.
