    3. No, Jill, that's not the one, unfortunately. WordPad is the original word processor which has been in Accessories in all versions of Windows (along with the text editor, Notepad). MS WORD on the other hand comes either as part of the MS Office Suite (of programs), or is included in MS WORKS, another less costly suite of programs. These two sites will help you understand the difference: MS WORKS: http://www.microsoft.com/products/works/products/default.asp MS OFFICE: http://office.microsoft.com/home/default.aspx WORDPAD: http://cma.zdnet.com/book/ch15/ch15.htm#Heading6 Without MS Word, you will have to resort to using the free downloads. On the other hand, you may care to switch programs and use something like Pegasus Mail - a free program - and it has a spell checker! Find it at: http://www.pmail.com/overviews/ovw_winpmail.htm Or even Eudora (free but with ad's): http://www.eudora.com/ Lance -----Original Message----- From: Boothey [mailto:Boothall@westnet.com.au] Sent: Sunday, 20 June 2004 20:10 To: GEN-COMP-TIPS-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [Gen-Comp-Tips] SPELL CHECKER I have got word pad is that the one.
