I have obtained this file from familysearch (hopefully to solve my problem with running my Census/BVR discs on Windows XP) but am told that Windows does not recognise it and I need to choose a file type to run it in. Mike, I take it the name of the file is the .exe listed in your subject? If so, try to run it in Windows Compatibility mode. Right click on the file. Chose Properties. Click on the Compatibility tab. Check the box labeled: Run this program in compatibility mode for:. In the drop down field, chose Windows 95. Click the Apply button on the bottom, then OK. Try and run the program.
