Lance, thank you for your support. Ken, could you please answer this about what is an acceptable post and what is not? Where is the line drawn? Please advise of this so that we may all know. From a 'users' point of view, I would like to add the following : My wife uses her PC almost exclusively for genealogy. To be able to do this, we have to keep the system itself stable and up to date. This has meant that I have done numerous postings in the past on matters which might now seem 'off topic' such as spam, viruses, problems with XP and related MS products. These are all things which if they fail or are not kept up to date would make the PC useless as a genealogy tool. I found the early warning of the XP service pack to be helpful and one of the things, which, as a computer user rather than a computer 'buff' I would not have been aware of other than through this list. Just another of those things which helps us to keep the wheels turning on a day to day basis. I have received a great deal of help from Lance and others for which I have been grateful to them and also for the existence of this list. I feel a bit nervous about further postings now and do hope things can be clarified so that we can get back on track and maintain the very helpful resource which this list is to people like ourselves.
