I think most people are concerned, as indeed am I, at problems with upgrading from other Window applications to XP and finding older version programmes won't immediately run. I have no problems with XP itself For those of us who are nearer 70 than 17 it can be quite daunting to carry out procedures when not conversant with computer jargon. For those who remember my traumas of a few days ago re; UFT and XP I have managed to retrieve data from various backups and even my old computer (my son did that bit!) and now have it installed on a laptop. I am now in the position of turning the data into GEDCOM ready for transfer to the main computer when I have a programme. To all who tried to assist this computer simpleton may I say a huge thankyou.
