Both Art and Lance, and so many others, give their bits of knowledge freely to all of us that are on what I call "life support systems," meaning without their knowledge and help, I would be at a loss on using a computer most of the time. I am nervous enough just thinking about what the new XP Service Pack2 is going to bring, and the almost new start on using it again. I do know we need more security in using XP, and that the Service Pack is a good thing, but without these little tidbits of help that people give us, my one love in life, which is genealogy, would come to a complete halt on the unsafe Internet of today. I do understand also what Al is trying to say, to stay on topic whenever possible, and we should honor his wishes, but if now and then when a big change with using our computers for genealogy comes along, those that can help us through the changes are so welcomed on my part. I try to do my best to do this on all of the many lists that I am on, but I am getting hesitant to even ask questions on these lists for fear of doing something wrong. And now a related topic:) Has anyone had a problem when they go to use the Rootsweb databases, and even though I have a pop up blocker, there is one that sneaks through and is annoying. It is evidently a cartoon related version of a dual between Kerry and Bush? Just wondering if I am the only one having this problem. Thank you, Nancy O.

    3. I also agree with Pat I have only been on the list for a short time and have found it very helpful and I have also received one of those e-mail's on another list I just deleted it and have not received any since then...
