    1. Downloading IGI records

    3. Hello, list I have been meaning to join this list for some time, to lurk and learn, but I now have a problem that I'd like advice on. When searching the IGI for wanted names, I now find that when I check the wanted records, and try to prepare them for downloading, the action is aborted. The download screen (which would give the number of records selected etc) briefly appears and then vanishes. If I click again the program says "No records selected" and I find that my selections have become unchecked. It is a while since I tried to download from this site, but I used to find it straightforward. The only things that have changed in the meantime are that I now have a PC running Windows XP instead of 98, and I have recently installed the Zone Alarm Pro firewall and associated applications. The only thing I could think to do was to temporarily disable the firewall (which seemed pointless) but no that had no effect. Can anyone advise me, please? Ron Cheltenham, UK

    3. Ron, Welcome to the list. The problem that you are having may be caused by a pop-up blocker, at least that is what it sounds like. Try turning it off and see if that helps.
