Good Morning, Problems with computers and printer occur at the most inconvenient moments. While in the midst of printing out a booklet containing about 26-30 pages, the printer ran out of ink. It is a Dell printer ( and also computer) and the cartridge must come from them. Since, I need another printer for my HP computer, I think the solution is to Wal-Mart buy another printer and put it on the Del Computer temporarily to finish the project. The project needs to be finished tomorrow morning. Please advise if it would be possible to use a HP or another brand printer with a Dell computer or must it be a Dell. My husband and I both have HP printers on our Dell computers and have had for years. Actually they both came from Dell with HP printers. The quickest way to find it (or anything like that) is to use www.google.com Marilyn. If you typed in "open office" it would quickly show 387,000 sites referring to Open Office, with first reference being for: http://www.openoffice.org/ That is the main place to find it.
