Peggy, I don't want to dampen your enthusiasm for Win Me, but it is generally acknowledged as the worst version of Windows Microsoft ever released. Win XP is generally accepted as their best effort yet, despite the need for this SP2 upgrade. From all reports it really is an upgrade more than just a bunch of patches. The discussion you have been reading is mainly about handling the "size" of the SP2 download, not with any problems within Win XP. It is not that I am enthusiastic about Win Me, but is what came on the last new computer that I bought,after I had one complete set up fried by a lightening strike.and I think ME has severed me well, for what I am doing. and at my age I have not kept up with all the newest teck stuff, and as long as this works for me, then that is what I will use,My grandfather used to say, "if it aint't broke, then don't fix it" when I am forced to do something about it , I guess I will, but that at this time remains to be seen, Peggy in rainy Texas this morning.
