    3. Ken, I started this thread due to a post you had made on 28 Aug 2004. In that letter to the list you stated <quote> If at all possible, if you are thanking someone for their assistance please send the thanks privately to their e-mail address. It is important to thank the people who assist us but not necessary to send to the entire list. <unquote> Of the 400+ list members, I would venture a guess that a lot of them are novices. I was trying to help them comply with this by offering a possible solution. Many novices to not know how to tell the address of who answered the letter, and thus reply to the list. While it is easy for someone who knows how to change the TO address, if you don't know, it could be confusing. I do know that this is being done on other RootsWeb lists and thought it would be good for the list. I thank you for you kind words. They are appreciated. Art

    3. Hi, I am trying to get to the Texas State Library and Archives Commission web page www.tsl.state.tx.us . I keep getting a "Failure to connect to Web Server" page come up. Does this mean that the web page is too busy, or what? Do I need to change some setting in SP2's firewall? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks, Joanna Smith Dunn
