Hi Art > Ken, could you please answer this about what is an acceptable post and what is not? Where is the line drawn? Please advise of this so that we may all know. My personal view is that this list strays well "off-topic" on many occasions. In the past, I have hoped that Ken would make a stand when many topics irrelevant to genealogy have reared their heads, recently for example when there was discussion about how to put music into a digital format. Nevertheless, it is my view that Ken has possibly made an error of judgement in reprimanding you for posting about a Windows Upgrade. However, do we know all of the facts ? Are you a Microsoft employee who might have a vested interest in encouraging folks to download that Upgrade ? Have you and Ken crossed swords in the past ? On the face of it, I would have thought that it was time for Ken to clarify the situation, and then for us all to forget about it. That assumes that we know all of the facts, and that the issue is as simple as it seems. A simple Windows Upgrade - we all need to be reminded to check for them daily ! Most of all, I think that it's essential that a splendidly useful list doesn't simply disintegrate because of one disagreement. Let's all move on. Has someone one got the next problem for Art, Lance et al to solve ? Best wishes.
