Shirley, MS Works can import MS Word 97 ".doc" files. To import the ".doc" file (into Works 4.5 and I presume other versions): 1. Click the EXISTING DOCUMENTS tab on the Works Task Launcher. 2. Click OPEN A DOCUMENT NOT LISTED HERE. 3. The OPEN DIALOG box appears. 4. From the LOOK IN drop down list, select the location where you stored the ".doc" file. 5. Works looks for a Works file so you may not immediately see the file you want to import. 6. Click the down-arrow next to the FILES OF TYPE box and select the appropriate file format. 7. Select the file you want to import (the ".doc" one) 8. Click OPEN. Once the file opens you can format it using Works tools and save it.
