Hello Can someone help shed light on my problem please? I get the error message "MSVCR71.dll was not found, reinstalling may help" when I want to open a program. This appears intermittently and unpredictably - sometimes it comes up and sometimes it does not , even with the same program. It stops me opening the program which is very annoying. The same message appears when I try to open a number of programs, eg it appeared today when I tried to open Picasa, even though I was using Picasa without problem yesterday and when I wanted to alter the volume level on my computer the other day. I have looked on microsoft support and googled the problem and found that .dll refers to dynamic link library but no solution. Thanks
