    3. IPTC works mostly commonly with jpg's and tiff's. IPTC is information that stays with photos and is not going to disappear just because you burn them to a CD. There's 2 cases in which I've found it to disappear - one in allowing Windows to resize photos before emailing them. Windows (on XP for sure) doesn't know what IPTC is so it just kicks it out when resizing for email. The same can happen when making batch changes using FastStone, which again does not recognize IPTC so it throws it away. Otherwise it's pretty stable stuff used by professional photographs everywhere and slowly making its way into the lower worlds. I put together a summary of some software choices. http://www3.telus.net/Jgen/2008-03-26-iptc_summary.shtml -- JL JLog - simple computer technology for genealogists http://www3.telus.net/Jgen/jlog.html tcurtisGen wrote: > Thanks Donna; > I appreciate your efforts.
