Many FHCs have microfilm scanners where you can scan to disk.. Are you asking about a scanner to look at you own personal microfilms or what? Ask at FHC in your area if they have the capability and if you can view and scan you own films, if that is what you want. do you just want to read microfilms, print out hard copies or scan to disk so you can print on your printer? a microfiche reader, unless it is a combination would not work well as a fiche image is about 1/2 inch inch by 3/8 wide. a fiche reader would not have a drive to advance the film and the magnifications lenses are much different for fiche and film. Google microfilm +reader|scanner. I find an Indus portable reader for $500. And last, PLEASE do not use the Digest Reference as the subject of your reply.
