I've used it in the past and it works very well and I believe the cost is free. However, when my printer/scanner finally did break down, I purchased an 'HP psc 1210 all-in-one'. Other than the cost of replacement cartridges, I have been very happy with it. It comes with its own ocr that rivals simpleocr and is very easy to use. So, if you don't need a new printer/scanner then I would agree with Paul and get simpleocr. Otherwise consider an HP product. -- Enjoy the Search! Thayne
